The Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced that they have cut wide-receiver Riley Cooper.

The move is set to free up a further $2.9 million in cap space. Cooper becomes the latest “Chip kelly” guy to be finding a new home after the Head Coach was relieved of his position in the closing weeks of the 2015 season.
Cooper had a $5.3m cap hit as the team entered 2016 and not surprisingly, the Eagles completed the move as soon as they possibly could.
In 2015 Cooper had 21 receptions for 327 yards and 2 touchdowns but also endured a three game stretch without a single target.
