Philadelphia Eagles Tight-End Zach Ertz has signed a five-year contract extension the team announced earlier today, keeping him at the team through 2021.
The deal is worth $42.5 million with $20 million being guaranteed. According to Bleeding Green Nation, that ranks him as high as fourth in the list of Tight-End salaries in the NFL.
The Eagles are also reportedly trying to sign both Vinny Cury and Lane Johnson to extensions. This news definitely “Ertz so good”
Ertz had another big year in 2015 despite being slow off the mark. After being drafted by the team in 2013, the 25 year old as caught 169 passes for 2,000 yards and scored nine touchdowns. Many were hoping to see Ertz explode after a successful 2014 and he did just that in the final few weeks of the season, averaging over 100 yards per game in his final four on just 35 receptions.
