Whilst Football season may be drawing to a close, the Soccer season is getting ready to lift the curtain once more. Today the USL announced their conference structure for their forthcoming season.
Bethlehem Steel FC are set to make their debut in the USL this season and will be one of five other teams doing so. The stage is set for the new Lehigh based side to compete in the Eastern Conference alongside 13 others including local side Harrisburg City Islanders.
Per the official press release, the Eastern Conference will be made up of the following 14 teams:
Eastern Conference
Bethlehem Steel FC
Charleston Battery
Charlotte Independence
FC Cincinnati
Harrisburg City Islanders
Louisville City FC
FC Montreal
New York Red Bulls II
Orlando City B
Pittsburgh Riverhounds
Richmond Kickers
Rochester Rhinos
Toronto FC II
Wilmington Hammerheads FC
The press release also announces that the season will kick off on March 25th. The Philadelphia Union aren’t scheduled to play on that date which could mean we see a high attendance in the Forge if the first fixture is indeed a home game.
