BREAKING: Tom Coughlin turns down Eagles after second meeting

When we said it was going to be an eventful week, we didn’t anticipate it would be this eventful. Earlier today we reported that talks between Tom Coughlin and the Eagles were intensifying but there were some “issues” to be worked on…well now according to Adam Schefter, the second meeting has taken an unlikely turn

Tom Coughlin is withdrawing his name from consideration for Eagles HC job, per sources. Not the right fit.

If this is true then that leaves the Eagles with just three interviewed candidates and only one who is not already employed by the Eagles.

I reported earlier that this may well be the reason that the talks are taking so long to find their conclusion..but it ultimately appears as though the Eagles weren’t willing to budge on their new philosophy if this was the reason.
