If you were like many other Eagles fans who wanted to see Hue Jackson become Chip Kelly’s replacement then you can at least go to bed at night knowing it wasn’t totally out of the question.
According to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Michael Silver suggests that the Eagles actually put a late call in for Jackson to request an interview..but the call came too late.

For a call to come so late it doesn’t seem as though the Eagles were too set on the idea and a lot of that could be down to how much control he would presumably want…a problem they’ve only just gotten over with Chip Kelly.
