And the dream may be over…just like that, the hopes of Jon Gruden returning to both the NFL and Philadelphia may well have been thwarted.
According to Howard Eskin, Gruden has no interest in the Eagles coaching job despite what Philly.com reported (and many other sites including us quoted) earlier today.

This wouldn’t be the first time in which Eskin has gone the other direction and nothing is official as of yet, but this certainly has more substance to it as opposed to a claim from an unknown source who was supposedly close to Gruden.
If he were to interview now, Eskin would look silly, if he were to make a public statement claiming he’s staying with ESPN..the original report becomes irrelevant.
