It’s been a rollercoaster season in Philadelphia but through the emphatic highs and the agonising lows, some players have just constantly impressed from start to finish..we’re here to rank the three players who YOU should vote for to compete in this years pro bowl. (Plot twist, they’re all on Defense)
Honorable mention: Jason Peters
Pro Bowls: 7
Peters is nearing the end of his career and unfortunately it’s beginning to show when you look at his durability. Peters has been battling injuries throughout the season and it’s really the only reason why he hasn’t made our top 3. Despite Offensive Line troubles, Peters has been the glue that keeps the group together. You have to feel that if it wasn’t for the back spasms or moments of worry..he would have been a cert to make it Pro Bowl number 8 this year.
Fletcher Cox
Pro bowls: 0
Cox missed out on the Pro Bowl last year..somehow..and should definitely obtain his first ever Pro Bowl honor this season. Leading the team in sacks alongside Brandon Graham, Fletch has been nothing but dominant from start to finish. With 20 QB hurries to his name (just one behind a certain J.J Watt) and a comparison to Jerome Brown, Cox has been arguably one of the most destructive in his position in the entire league this season…get this guy to Hawaii!
Malcolm Jenkins
Pro bowls:0
SOMEHOW…S O M E H O W Malcolm Jenkins has not been to a Pro Bowl and frankly..that needs to end..this year. 87 combined tackles doesn’t even do the man justice. His 7 passes deflected and two INT’s including that glorious pick six don’t begin to explain how important he is. One minute he’s breaking up what could be touchdown passes and the next he’s stormed through the trenches to force a running back into minimal yards. His football IQ is exceptional and the way he reads the game is inspirational. Jenkins is the leader of the Eagles Secondary and if he somehow misses out on a Pro Bowl this season then he may as well be called Leonardo DiCaprio of the Football world. VOTE.
