Jordan Matthews scored the Eagles game winning touchdown in overtime against the Cowboys just six days ago in the most emphatic fashion and understandably, emotions were high..but unfortunately for the Eagles second year receiver, those emotions have led to a fine.
Matthews has been fined $5,787 for throwing the football into the stands after the game winning touchdown….yep, fined….$5,787…..
According to the NFL, players are allowed to hand the ball to fans in the stands but not throw it due to safety reasons which makes sense, but $5000?
It shouldn’t have too much of an effect on his $644,967 salary this year but still, it’s a little overzealous, especially considering Greg Hardy is still allowed to even walk onto a field…..
