With Nelson Agholor, Mychal Kendricks, Kiko Alonso and Brandon Bair all not practising today, there was fifth man added to the list after showing no signs of previous injury.
Worryingly, the Eagles number two running back Ryan Mathews was limited in todays activities with what’s been reported as a groin injury.
It looks like the injury was picked up in a recent practice session and being added to the list so late on shouldn’t send too many panic signals. The good news is that he still worked out with the team and due to the extended week, will have an extra day to recover. We are hearing no reports of his status (eg day-to-day) so chances are he will be active come Monday night.
Ryan Mathews has 205 rushing yards in his five games for the Eagles, the most in the team. Averaging five yards attempt and punching in for two touchdowns, Mathews has arguably been the more sufficiently adapted back to Chip Kelly’s Offense out of himself and Murray’s this season/this season for an average of 5.0 yards per attempt.
