The start of game week number four has been a bit of a bumpy one for the Eagles. First, Cody Parkey has been listed as out for the season and then it was predicted that starting guard Andrew Gardner would suffer the same fate.
Moments ago, Andrew Gardner was officially placed on the season long IR list and the Eagles have once again signed their favourite Yoyo player, Julian Vandervelde. It’s always great to see Julian back on the roster, but lets hope this time it’s for good!
Gardner suffered a Lisfranc injury against the Jets, a foot injury where one or more of the metatarsal’s are displaced from the tarsus.
The Eagles have a glaring weak spot when it comes to the Offensive Line, not in form necessarily, but in depth. The team released Herremans and Mathis without adding a player in the Draft or through free agency who would make the final 53.
We are the first official site to write a report on this, as we were with the Sturgis signing. Oh, whilst nothing has been made official on that front just yet..this has happened.
Looks pretty official to me…we’re changing the game.
Eagles place Andrew Gardner on injured reserve. They re-signed Julian Vandevelde.
