After a day of nailbiting speculation, Eagles fans can rest a little easier. Whilst some reports have claimed Alonso will miss the entire year whilst others remained uncertain, Howard Eskin took to twitter moments ago to report that Kiko Alonso may well only miss between two and four weeks with what looks like an ACL sprain..not a complete tear.
LB Kiko Alonzo I'm hearing has ACL sprain but not tear could b out 2-4 wks. #Eagles .. More on Michael Kendricks injury Con't ….

The worst fear was that the Eagles would lose Alonso for the duration of the season as many were reporting, but an ACL Sprain would back up what many saw, which was Kiko walking with some help. Losing him for up to a quarter of the season is far from ideal and still begs the question if Chip Kelly knew what he was letting himself in for or really had it under control, but it at least saves the Eagles from an entire campaign without one of their top linebackers.
