The Flyers kept their circle small at training camp, but did however bring an 18 year old blue liner in on an amateur tryout before signing him earlier today to a three year entry level contract.
Philippe Myers signed with the Flyers in a deal worth $1.908 million. The Cap hit is estimated to stand at $636,000. The D-man standing at 6″5 spent two years with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and put up eight points last season, with two goals and six assists.
He doesn’t appear to have that much scoring potential, but at 18 years old he still has some junior potential left so the move will probably just act as one to gain experience as he tries to prove he’s ready for the NHL someday.
The Flyers now have 48 players on their roster signed with the NHL limit standing at 50.
