Eagles strengthen LB core with Deontae Skinner

The Eagles have been light on Linebackers this past week to say the least. With Kiko Alonso missing the week due to concussion and Mychal Kendricks missing towards the end of the week, it was definitely a position low on numbers. Not to mention the absence of “Mufasa” DeMeco Ryans. Luckily, the birds have added some more depth in the way of former New England Patriots Linebacker, Deontae Skinner.

Skinner appeared in seven games last season before being released in May. He picked up 16 tackles and a sack

The 24-year-old will definitely add some depth at the position whilst the starters recover from numerous injuries and setbacks. But will he feature in pre-season? That remains to be seen.

The move fills the Eagles current 90 man roster, and Skinner may have increased chances of making the final roster due to the lack of current depth.
