Connor Barwin.
Everything in the National Football League revolves around the Quarterback. On the offensive side of the ball, the Quarterback is a nuclear bomb being guarded by an army. On the defensive side, it’s all about intimidation. Teams want to get into the heads of the opposing QB, forcing him into errors. Something our #5 did a lot of last season.
Upon his arrival, e was instantly one of the most versatile defenders in the league but then exploded with 141/2 sacks last season. Barwin was voted to his first Pro Bowl in 2014 and at this rate it won’t be his last.
The 28 year old finished fourth in the entire league last year with 14.5 sacks and came third for the Eagles with 64 tackles. There has been a huge push in pass rushing in recent years, not just in Philly but in the league overall..making Barwin an invaluable asset going forward.
The experience the veteran brings is absolutely crucial now the birds are without Trent Cole. Barwin has to step up and he has to step up quickly. He has the potential, he definitely has the ability and the fear factor, it’s just a case of turning into a Monster player, feared by the 31 other teams in the league. The Eagles Defence at the moment is a string of individuals as opposed to one intimidating team..if Barwin and Maxwell can pull the team together then watch out NFL…
