Michigan vs Penn State Betting preview
Saturday’s game is part of a three-team round-robin that will ultimately decide who wins the East. Michigan needs to win this game to keep their title hopes alive, with Ohio State still standing in their way. There is a chance that Penn State wins the remainder of its games and the three teams then end up tied, with non-divisional record being the tiebreaker.
While these two teams have a deep history, it’s the first time that there’s been a top-10 matchup at Beaver Stadium since 2018. Michigan has won 16 of 26 all-time games against the Nittany Lions, but Penn State will be itching to break Michigan’s streak of 21 consecutive BIG 10 wins.
The Wolverines have faced a relatively easy schedule this year and you could argue that their dominant defense has holes in its armour. With that said, they still have 12 interceptions this season which means 19-year-old QB, Drew Allar, is going to have to be sharp.
Across from Allar will Be J.J McCarthy. Last week’s win over Purdue was the first game all season the quarterback failed to throw a touchdown pass. Penn State’s impressive defense will look to try and exploit any potential weakness in his game, although, a QB completing 75% of his passes with an 18-3 TD-INT record surely won’t have many.
Games between these two teams are always worth watching, but with so much at stake, this is must-view sporting television.

Michigan vs Penn State Betting prediction
While Michigan has control of this series, I feel like this is a must-win for Penn State in front of a roaring home crowd. J.J McCarthy might be a future NFL QB, but the Wolverines haven’t exactly played world-beating talents this year.
I’d expect the Nittany Lions to win outright here, but I’m happy backing the spread.
Prediction: Penn State +3.5
