Phillies vs Diamondbacks: Game 6 pitching preview
After Zack Wheeler won his Game 1 rematch, the Phils will now turn to Aaron Nola and hope he can win his Game 2 rematch against Merrill Kelly. Nola silenced the Diamondbacks through 6 innings, striking out 7 on the way to an impressive 3-1 win.
Through 3 postseason starts in 2023, Nola has a 0.96 ERA having gone 18.2 innings. He’s also yet to allow a Home Run, which is a surprise given his regular-season tendencies. The Phillies’ ace has certainly saved his best stuff for when it matters most and another night like Game 2 would undoubtedly put the Diamondbacks behind the 8 ball.

As for Kelly, he’s made two starts this postseason and holds a respectable 3.00 ERA. He’s given up 6 hits and 4 runs through 12 innings, which will likely give an explosive Phillies offense just enough room to start piling on the pressure early.
Phillies vs Diamondbacks: Game 6 betting preview
Our bets over the last few days have been very profitable. We’ve had a Kyle Schwarber home run at +350, Bryce Harper’s base total at +110, and even an Alec Bohm resurgence! We’ll be looking to cash a few more slips in what could be the final NLCS game of 2023.
The Phillies have had a tendency to start hot in this series. They’ve scored a run in the first inning in 3 of the 5 matchups so far and will once again be in front of the roaring Philadelphia faithful. It could be worth exploring props that look at an early outburst from this red-hot offense.
One prop that already looks appealing is Phillies to score 4.5 runs AND win the game. This comes in at a price of +130 and if you’d blindly bet it every game this series, you’d be 3-5. With Nola at the helm, it’s hard to envision a Phils loss, and the offense has been so dominant that a return to a hitter-friendly CBP is bound to only help their Home Run chances.
If it is a Home Run prop you’re looking for, look no further than Kyle Schwarber. His 47 dingers in 2023 lead the Phillies. He’s also homered in back-to-back games this series and could well be primed to do it again.

As far as an outright bet goes, it really is hard to overlook the Phillies here. Not only are they at home, but they rebounded from a disappointing choke in game 4 in dominant fashion and proved that the loss was an exception to the rule. They carry all that momentum back to a rampant crowd who will be eager to celebrate a World Series Berth with the team on home turf.
The atmosphere is going to be dough for the D-Backs to navigate and the Phils should benefit as a result and comfortably return to the World Series.
