Commanders vs Bears: A week for the defenses?

If you’re looking to bet on defense, this could be the game for you. Washington has allowed more sacks than any team in the NFL, giving up an average of 6 per game. The Bears rank 30th in this category, so are hardly any better.

While Sam Howell has protected the rock relatively well this season (aside from the 4-pick blunder against the Bills), the Washington Commanders are still giving away an average of 2 turnovers per game, the exact same number as their opponents this week. The total might be hard to predict, but if you want to bet on interceptions/sacks etc, this could be a gold mine.

Time to buy back in on Justin Fields?

After a shaky start to the season, Justin Fields broke out against the Broncos, completing 80% of his passes and throwing for 4 touchdowns and over 300 yards. This could be a nice spot to start betting behind the dual-threat QB, whose passing total for Thursday night is 193.5. Fields will be facing a Washington defense that’s great against the run and will be forcing him to win through the air.

He’s still thrown at least 1 interception in each game so far this season, so perhaps betting on him to throw another at -140 would be a wise idea.

Commanders vs Bears betting pick

It might be easy to say that the Commanders are the superior team, but the defense has given up 30+ points in consecutive weeks. The Bears have yielded 28+ every week this season and this total (44.5) feels too low for a desperate Chi-Town offense and a Commanders team that is coming off of a tight overtime loss.
