Week 4 is set to be an enthralling one with Commanders vs Eagles among this week’s marquee matchups

There is an NFC East divisional showdown happening in Philadelphia this weekend as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles play host to the Washington Commanders. The Birds have a 3-0 record and lead the NFC East while the Commanders dropped their first game of the season in an embarrassing loss to Buffalo in week 3.

We have a spicy Same Game Parlay for anyone looking to bet on the Commanders vs Eagles.

Over 2.5 turnovers -110

The Commanders have a healthy offensive line again, but there are bound to be teething problems and the team has allowed more sacks than any other unit this season. On top of that, Sam Howell through 4 picks last week and Antonio Gibson has 2 fumbles on the season already. This is hardly a buttoned-up offense.

Elsewhere, Jalen Hurts has been a little scruffier than expected, while the Eagles defense continues to negate his setbacks with turnovers of its own. The Eagles bullied Kirk Cousins into turnover after turnover in week 2 and made some splash plays on Monday night.

There should easily be 3+ turnovers in this game, with both sides struggling to protect the rock, and the Philly defense doing a brilliant job at recording takeaways.

Curtis Samuel OVER 3.5 receptions +140

The Eagles are without Avonte Maddox so they’ve pushed James Bradberry into the slot. This has meant that former UDFA Josh Jobe is on an island in the CB2 spot. He handled himself much better on Monday than he did against the Vikings, but was still targeted 8 times, as you would expect. Why throw to Slay and Bradberry when there’s a second-year corner sat in off-coverage?

As a result, I’d expect the Commanders to follow suit and try and exploit this. Dotson and Samuel should both become frequent flyers this weekend, but there’s more value on Samuel’s reception prop.

D’Andre Swift OVER 64.5 rushing yards

D’Andre Swift has been among the best backs in the NFL this season. He’s registered back-to-back 150+ yard games and is averaging 6.8 yards per carry. I can’t see Washington being able to somehow halve the production of a patient runner behind that offensive front.

The Commanders front four are talented, but they’re nowhere near as good at stopping the run as they are rushing the passer.

Jalen Hurts OVER 1.5 passing touchdowns +105

Washington is allowing 1.3 passing touchdowns per game, and that’s all Jalen Hurts needs. The Washington defense was ruined by the Bills last week and will limp into Lincoln Financial Field to face a quarterback yet to find his best stuff in 2023.

Hurts has grown increasingly aggressive over the last 2 weeks and that’s bound to yield positive results against a secondary that has proven to struggle against A.J Brown and DeVonta Smith. The two have combined for 3 touchdowns in 4 games against Washington, with Smitty catching one in both games he played against them in 2022.

I think the bigger upside is on Jalen Hurts, but you can sprinkle a Smitty anytime TD at +145.
