It’s Eagles vs. Vikings as Week 2 of the NFL season is set to kick off. A prime-time matchup between two playoff hopefuls has plenty of excitement generated as both teams look to earn the advantage over the other.
Philadelphia is coming off of a far too-close-for-comfort victory over the New England Patriots, while Minnesota is attempting to right the ship after a surprising Week 1 loss at home to Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Vikings are also out for revenge after the shellacking they took at the hands of the Eagles in Week 2 last season.
Can Philadelphia find a way to get their offensive spark back? Can Minnesota get their revenge in another Prime Time matchup between the two squads? These questions will be answered Thursday night. As exciting as this game is already shaping up to be, it’s even more exciting when you join the action.

Dallas Goedert Anytime TD: +260

In the Eagles’ season opener, Dallas Goedert failed to register a reception, a target, or even a how-do-you-do. After the game, Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni spoke of the lack of action Goedert saw and how the team must change that going forward.
Last season, Goedert enjoyed a quality game against the Vikings, pulling in five receptions for a game-high 82 yards. Thursday night, look for him to thrive in a feature role with ample opportunity to find the endzone.
Justin Jefferson Anytime TD: +120

Coming into this matchup, revenge is certainly on the mind of superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson. When the Eagles and Vikings met up last season, coincidentally also in Week 2, Philadelphia cornerback Darius Slay bottled up Minnesota’s young star, allowing only six receptions for 48 yards, far below his average numbers.
While Slay will certainly do all he can to hold Jefferson once again, doing so is no small task. Doing it twice sounds nigh impossible, especially with the motivation seen by the Vikings’ wideout this season. Look for Jefferson to find the endzone at least once Thursday night.
Jordan Addison Over Receiving Yards (38.5): -125

Rookie Wide receiver Jordan Addison impressed in his debut against Tampa Bay, hauling in a 39-yard touchdown against the Bucs. While Eagles’ star corner Darius Slay will be tasked with the daunting task of guarding superstar Justin Jefferson (though Slay had no issues last season), the Eagles will likely have a myriad of young, unproven corners attempting to keep Addison under raps.
Eagles starting cornerback James Bradberry missed his second consecutive day of practice while remaining in concussion protocol. It’s not looking likely that he’ll be ready on a short week, giving Addison plenty of opportunity to find his own.
Eagles Spread (-6.5): -108

While the game will likely find itself more competitive than last season’s matchup, it seems clear that Philadelphia is simply on another level compared to this Vikings team. Not only that, but they match up favorably on paper as well, specifically in the trenches. The Eagles’ defensive line has proven and looks to continue to prove themselves as a dominant unit, one that will likely fluster Kirk Cousins to no end.
The Vikings may score more than the seven points they managed last season, but look for this game to belong to Philadelphia, and not by a particularly close score.
In a matchup of Eagles vs. Vikings, Birds by seven.
