Ohio State vs. Indiana: Game Preview

The Buckeyes are looking to start the season off with a bang following a crushing loss in the Peach Bowl to the Georgia Bulldogs. With starting quarterback CJ Stroud no longer under center, Kyle McCord looks to start an era of his own following up Stroud and Justin Field. He will certainly have some help making the transition as Marvin Harrison Jr., who is not only the top receiver in the nation but McCord’s teammate from their Saint Joseph Preparatory days already shares strong chemistry with the QB.

For the Hoosiers, things are not as bright. Having lost several players to the transfer portal and replacing them with several three-star recruits in need of a scene change, excitement levels are not overly high in Indiana this season. The team also has a long track record of uninspiring performances against talented conference rivals, going 2-16 over the last two seasons. Against the cream of the Big 10 crop last season, the Hoosiers lost on average by a deficit of more than 30 points. This is not setting up to be an overly competitive game.

Ohio State vs. Indiana: prediction

The Ohio State Buckeyes hold an incredible 78-12-5 record over the Indiana Hoosiers, including a 27-game winning streak. This season looks to bring no surprises as the Buckeyes enter the season as the third-ranked team in college football, while the Hoosiers are projected to rank 88th among 133 FBS teams.
