Heisman Trophy Odds: Caleb Williams is the favorite ahead of 2023 season
The 2023 College Football season is finally upon us and all eyes are turning to the betting markets. Betting on the potential winner of the Heisman Trophy before the season starts is a decision that could prove to be among the most profitable you can make if things go your way. If you can find a longshot before the breakout season and the odds start to tumble, you can be left holding a golden ticket. The question is, which player looks best placed to win the Heisman Trophy in 2023?

Heisman Trophy Odds:
Caleb Williams is the clear favorite to win the Heisman going into 2023. He is of course the man who lifted the trophy last year. Archie Griffin is the only player to have ever lifted the award twice back in 1974-1975, meaning that a repeat win would be quite the historic feat. Williams is only +450 to accomplish this, which should speak volumes about the confidence Vegas has in both him and Head Coach Lincoln Riley.
Quinn Ewers could be a force to be reckoned with if he stays healthy. He’ll benefit from playing for one of the most notorious teams in the country and every good outing being put in a national spotlight, but Ewers was balling prior to a collar bone injury last year. If the Longhorns can take another step forward, +1300 feels like a great price.

Heisman watch: Which underdog should you bet?
Drake Maye at +1600 is my dark horse this year. He has drawn rave reviews all offseason after throwing 38 touchdowns and 7 picks last season. Maye could well be QB1 in the 2024 NFL Draft and has some dominant TE targets at his disposal. This is a great price on a brilliantly talented young quarterback who could push Caleb Wilson all the way to the Heisman finish line.
If you bet $5 on Drake Maye to win the Heisman right now, it returns over $70. However, if you sign up to DraftKings with this offer, then you could then use your FREE $100 bet to place on the same NFL MVP odds market and the return would be a much better $1600! Considering that this is risk-free money, it’s a much better way to bet on anyone winning the Heisman Trophy.
If you already have a sportsbook account and bet on someone to win the Heisman Trophy, that’s great. But by signing up to DraftKings, you’re getting yourself a FREE $100 bet on the same market.
