The Philadelphia Phillies finally kicked into gear against the Guardians in their final clash, putting up 8 runs and avoiding a series sweep. Having won 5 of their last 10, the Fightin’s will look to keep the good times going against Baltimore on Monday.

Pitching matchup
Christopher Sanchez (0-3, 3.06 ERA) vs Dean Kremer (10-4, 4.80 ERA)
The Phillies will send Christopher Sanchez to the mound on Monday evening in what is very much a comfort zone for him. Sanchez has made 5 of his 7 starts at home this season, but has allowed at least 5 hits in each of those appearances. There could be some value on pitchers props here, especially if Sanchez regresses a little.
However, while he allowed 6 hits in his most recent start, the Orioles are averaging just .175 at the plate over their last 3 games, and .248 in road games this season. Sanchez has maintained a very impressive ERA up to this point and should be able to hold his own against the O’s.
As for Baltimore, they’ll be trotting out Dean Kremer, who has been very Aaron Nola-Esque this season. He can go super deep into games, but could also give up 7 runs in 3 innings like he did against the Twins not too long ago. The volatility could play into the hands of Philadelphia, who are batting .258 at home this year.

Phillies vs Orioles Betting preview
As far as some logical props go, it could be worth turning to Austin Hays, who leads the O’s with a .293 batting average and has 9 home runs this season. His most memorable moment against the Phils was that inside the park 2-run homer in 2020. He’s +500 to hit another home run here, but against Christopher Sanchez, it could be worth backing. He’s +185 to record a hit, so that’s also a market worth paying attention to.
From the Phils’ side of things, Kyle Schwarber is now 8-for-41 with 4 home runs over his last 10. July has very much been the month of Schwarbombs and he’s just +245 to record another one on Monday night.
In terms of game lines, I do like the OVER here. This is a fairly average pitching matchup and both offenses rank inside the upper echelon. If this gets turned over to the bullpen, a 7-5 game could easily be on the cards.
