Pitching matchup
Aaron Nola (4-3, 4.59 ERA) vs Carlos Carrasco (1-2, 6.75 ERA)
Ranger Suarez was hardly ‘lights out’ last night, but it was certainly a step forward. Unfortunately, the Phils were unable to capitalize on that and now find themselves needing to rally behind Aaron Nola. The former Cy Young winner has had a fairly solid season, although he did give up 3 homers against the Braves last time out.
Carrasco will be hoping to build on his win over the Cubs last time out where he allowed only 1 run across 6 innings. However, he has massively struggled at home this season, posting a 10.24 ERA. The Mets will be hoping Carrasco can kick the Phils while they’re down as opposed to letting the bounce back happen.

Phillies vs Mets Betting preview
The UNDER cashed last night, so while the Phils didn’t win, bettors who followed our tips certainly did.
As far as plays for this evening’s matchup, it’s hard to look past Pete Alonso, who has seemingly found some space rent-free in Aaron Nola’s head. He’s batting .349 against Nola in his career and has five home runs. A Pete Alonso home run is listed at +370 for today’s game.
