Princeton vs Creighton game preview
Not many people expected the Ivy League champs to make a Cinderella run at the NCAA Tournament. Their win over Arizona was shaky at best, but a hugely dominant win against the Missouri Tigers soon put any concerns to bed. Ryan Langborg’s 22 points proved pivotal in the win, while the Tigers were held to just 27.3% shooting from deep. Princeton will need much of the same tonight if they are to advance to the Elite Eight.
Creighton is a top-25 program in both offense and defense according to KenPom’s metrics, allowing just 67.9 points per contest. On the offensive side of things, they have five players averaging more than 11 points per game, which is enough to give Princeton a torrid time if they cannot keep up their quickened pace experienced against Mizzou.
As good as Princeton has been, this is a dominant Creighton side that is efficient in all areas. Missouri rode and died by their longer-range shooting, while Creighton has the ability to get the dirty buckets inside, as well as deliver reliably from the charity stripe. This does open things up to a couple of sneaky betting props that look very enticing ahead of the matchup.

Given the nature of these games, the conclusions usually lead to sloppy defense as teams scramble for late points, sacrificing assignments in a bid to prepare for the transition the other way. The over cashed in 3/4 Sweet 16 games last night and I’m happily riding that again here.
Secondly, if you can back the over on points for Tosan Evbumwan, it’s a good call. He’s Princeton’s center and had 15 points against Arizona, while putting up 9 against Mizzou. Given the versatility of Creighton’s offense, he will be called upon early and often.
