Super Bowl LVII prop watch: Jalen Hurts

Hardly removed from Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson, the Philadelphia Eagles are back in the Super Bowl, and Jalen Hurts deserves to be here.

One cannot watch tonight’s kickoff without somehow cashing in on our favorite (or favourite, as Liam would say) quarterback.

So take a look at three prop bets with fantastic odds on the Philly quarterback that nobody believed in.

Super Bowl LVII betting offer

Jalen Hurts: First Touchdown Scorer – +650

I don’t think the Eagles will get out of this game without a Hurts touchdown, but the Anytime Touchdown odds are -105. I’m trying to turn $5 into $65 and make you rich; I’m not taking almost even odds.

Hurts has fifteen total rushing touchdowns on the season, including the playoffs. This one’s interesting because technically speaking, this isn’t a bet that Hurts has cashed in on since November 14th against the Washington Commanders.

Still, if you ask Hurts to score the first touchdown for the Eagles, he’s done it 35% of the time in 2022, the last time being the game he was injured against the Chicago Bears. If you think Hurts is a competitor, watch how he plays, knowing he’ll have an entire offseason to recover. I dare say lock.

Jalen Hurts: To Throw Exactly 2 Passing Touchdowns – +240

These are good odds for something Hurts has done six times this season.

I’m sure there are a lot of stats I can throw at you, like the Kansas City Chiefs have allowed precisely two passing touchdowns eight times this season, but ultimately this is a gut feeling.

Hurts throwing for two and running for another feels like a recipe I wouldn’t send back to the kitchen. Check this one out on FanDuel.

Jalen Hurts: Super Bowl MVP – +135

Although I love Haasan Reddick as a long-shot Super Bowl MVP, if the Philadelphia Eagles win this game, Hurts seems most likely. You’re getting plus odds, and this one is basically betting Eagle’s moneyline.

A quarterback has won MVP six out of the last ten years, and it will genuinely take a heroic performance from QB1 to best Patrick Mahomes.
