Why Kenneth Gainwell could pop in Super Bowl LVII

Kenneth Gainwell’s playoff production has been a pleasant surprise for Eagles fans. For whatever reason, Gainwell’s touches per game have spiked to 14.5 per game (4.5 in the regular season) and he’s had at least 35 rushing yards in each of his last 3. Sprinkle in the fact that he’s a dual-threat back and it’s very easy to see the value here when his betting markets are still treating him as a secondary tool to Miles Sanders, when in actual fact, they’re getting the same number of touches.

Kenneth Gainwell: Anytime Touchdown scorer +310

He might only have four touchdowns on the season, but Kenneth Gainwell’s increased offensive output should provide bettors with plenty of reasons for optimism. It’s probably one of the few value pick outside of Jalen Hurts to score anytime. Gainwell has the dual-threat trait working in his favor here, whereas Miles Sanders is likely going to be marginalized as a runner. Sanders is -105 to score anytime. I’d rather give myself the upside of a Gainwell TD at +310.

Kenneth Gainwell: Over 19.5 rushing yards -110

Gainwell has gone over this number 8 times this year, but has done so in each of his last 3 games. If we’re to follow the trend, we can expect to see a healthy dose of Gainwell on Sunday, which should see him comfortably match over this total.

Kenneth Gainwell: Over 1.5 receptions -140

Gainwell has caught at least 2 passes 7 times this season, but has caught at least one pass in each of his last nine games. He’s caught at least 2 in his two most recent games, both of which have come in the playoffs.

This is probably the second safest way to gain exposure to the Memphis product, who should be a regular feature in the Eagles backfield.

What is the safest, I hear you ask?

Kenneth Gainwell: Rushing + Receiving Yards: Over 33.5 -120

According to Reuben Frank of NBC Philly, Gainwell has the 4th most scrimmage yards of any running back to have featued in the postseason (195). Frank also notes that Gainwell is currently only the sixth-ever Eagles running back to put up back-to-back 70+ scrimmage yard games in the postseason.

If there is a Kenny Gainwell prop worth betting, this is the one.
