I always love betting on Switzerland. Maybe it’s because Xherdan Shaqiri is a DraftKings GOD, or perhaps it’s just the amount of likable names in the squad. Either way, they’re always hard to look past as sportsbooks don’t tend to value them.

A prime example would be this game. -135 against Cameroon despite the fact they beat Portugal AND Spain in the run-up to the World Cup? Either I’m missing something or the oddsmakers are asleep at the wheel.

Ghana is also a sneaky good side. Ekambi, for instance, scored five goals at the Africa Cup of Nations. Anguissa is an absolute monster in the midfield and with both Mbuemo and Aboubakar up front, they have to be feared.

As far as analysis for the game, I don’t think much is needed. These two teams are in a group with Brazil and Serbia so a good start is vital. Expect choppy football and plenty of chances for both sides.

I still think the Swiss at -130 is great value, but Both Teams to Score AND over 2.5 goal markets also look spicy.

You could be creative and parlay the result, BTTS, and someone like Ekambi or Mbuemo to score. Goalscorer markets are exciting here, either of the aforementioned players could filter in with Shaqiri, who takes nearly every set piece, or Embolo. It feels like a given that one of these four will deliver in their opening game.
