The Philadelphia 76ers suffered yet another injury blow midway through their game against the Milwaukee Bucks Friday night as young star Tyrese Maxey landed oddly on his foot/ankle in the second quarter. The Sixers guard has been confirmed to be OUT for the rest of the game and an MRI is pending, according to ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth.

After sustaining the injury on a drive against the Bucks’ Jevon Carter, Maxey was in clear pain walking up and down the stairs of the Center before making his way to half-court (while still in noticeable pain). He would shoot two free throws, making one, before Shake Milton committed a foul to get his injured teammate off the court.

In the midst of another Maxeyclass, Tyrese Maxey was pacing the Sixers with 24 points in 21 minutes of work. Philadelphia would have easily floundered in this game had it not been for his effort in the first half.
Maxey underwent an X-Ray following his exit, which returned negative results — Thankfully. He will undergo an MRI Saturday to further check the status of his left foot/ankle.
