The Philadelphia 76ers are investing in their future.

According to Sixers team reporter Lauren Rosen, the team has exercised its options for guards Tyrese Maxey and Jaden Springer. The option for Maxey is a fourth-year, and for Jaden Springer, a third-year.

The Sixers drafted Jaden Springer with the 28th pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA draft. In his career, he has played in four games (10 total minutes) and has shot 75% from the field. Springer is 50% from the free-throw line in his career.

Tyrese Maxey was drafted the year before Springer with the 21st pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft. Maxey’s impact on the court has been felt since stepping foot in Wells Fargo Arena. He is averaging 22.6 points a game this season, including six double-digit performances. Maxey is also averaging 46.8% from downtown in 2022. Maxey set a new career high Friday night against the Toronto Raptors, scoring 44 points.

Both options will keep their respective players with the Sixers for the 2023-2024 season.
