The Sixers travel across the border this evening to face the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Both teams have had disappointingly sluggish starts to the season, with the 76ers at 1-3 and the Raptors at 2-2. This is far cry from that heartbreakingly memorable Eastern Conference Finals series they shared a few years ago. But who will have the upper hand after tonight?

Sixers vs Raptors betting preview
The Raptors could be without both Otto Porter Jr. and Scottie Barnes which should at least give the Sixers a micro boost on the road. Barnes missed the win over Miami, but the fact it was a win shows that Toronto aren’t suddenly debilitated without the young star.
Talking of young stars, it’s been a slow start to the year for Tyrese Maxey. He was picked on against the Bucks and was very quiet against the Pacers. Philly has to find a way to get him involved offensively. The same can be said for Joel Embiid, who has been sloppy at best across most aspects of his game to start the season.
With that said, the Sixers have enough manpower on the bench and versatility at their disposal to compensate for these temporary issues. Tobias Harris was electric last time out and guys like P.J Tucker and Georges Niang have had big spurts when the team needed it most.
Against a Raptors side that has been similarly slumping, I think the Sixers will be able to get the best of them here. The line is a pick’em, and I’m picking the Sixers to get the win in what could be a pretty stale game, giving them the needed platform to gel together and remind the world of just how good they can be.
