Jalen Hurts & the Philadelphia Eagles may have been on a bye week, but the MVP race raged on as the rest of the league partook in the week 7 slate. Going into this week, Hurts was around +500 to win the MVP award following a big-time win over the Dallas Cowboys. But how would the market react when he wasn’t on the field and the rest of the candidates were?
Wow. This is the most movement we’ve seen in the MVP markets in weeks. Lamar Jackson was around +500 2 weeks ago and has pretty much fallen out of this race. Their next 4 opponents are the Steelers, Texans, Colts, and Commanders. Their combined record is 9-16-2. There is every chance that Jalen Hurts really entrenches himself in a flat-out duel with Josh Allen if he continues to progress at his current rate and can keep the engine going.
