The Philadelphia 76ers are back in action tonight as they host the Milwaukee Bucks. The Sixers will be hoping to right the wrongs of their season opener, while Giannis and co will be playing their first game of the season.
James Harden exploded out of the gates for Philadelphia, but outside of that, the game felt stale. Joel Embiid did not look like the should-be MVP we all know and love and with Giannis in town, this clash of titans will need Embiid to be at his very best.
As for the Bucks, they look very similar to how they did last season, where they fell just shy of a Larry O’Brien Trophy. But like that series, they will still be without Khris Middleton, which is a pretty tough pill to swallow. Giannis is a two-time MVP and all eyes will be on how he and Embiid wreak havoc inside the paint tonight.

Okay, so there may be no more frosty freeze- outs, but the 76ers are a fierce team to play at home. They went 24-17 at the Farg last season, but went 1-2 against the Bucks in their 2021-22 season series.
A lot has changed since then, however. Philly houses a new identity with the stability that James Harden now brings and the bench looks much more dangerous.
I’ll be backing the Sixers and swallowing the points tonight, expecting the home-town crowd to rally this team back to the kind of form we all know the 76ers can get to in a heartbeat. The Flyers are flying, it’s Red October, the Union start their playoff push, and the Birds are undefeated. The Sixers can’t mess this up…right?
