Fourteen months after his devastating car accident, legendary golfer Tiger Woods said that he would be a ‘game-time decision’ on whether or not he would compete in the 2022 Masters tournament, which begins on April 7 at Augusta.

“I will be heading up to Augusta today to continue my preparation and practice,” Woods tweeted on Sunday morning. “It will be a game-time decision on whether I compete.”

Woods suffered the accident on Feb. 23, 2021, which resulted in a broken leg and shattered ankle — adding only more uncertainty to a career that had recently been plagued by chronic back issues.

He did play a practice round at Augusta National earlier last week.

The 46-year-old 15-time major winner hasn’t appeared in a PGA tournament since the rescheduled Masters that was held in November of 2020. He was the defending champion after winning it in 2019.
