It’s betting time in the NFL! While the 2022 season schedule has not come out, the initial over/under for teams have been announced, as well as the the rating for team’s upcoming schedule.

Spoiler alert. It’s favorable on both counts for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The current odds see the Eagles at an over/under of 8.5 wins for the 2022 season. The news puts Philadelphia second in the NFC East in projected wins, and seventh in the NFC as of this moment behind all the team’s that were ranked higher than them in last year’s postseason.

It’s a two-game increase from last season’s 6.5. The Eagles win total has fluctuated over the last few years, but clearly looks to be stabilizing back into an over .500 team. Here’s a look at the over/under in wins for Philadelphia over the last five years.

2021: 6.5

2020: 9.5

2019: 10

2018: 10.5

2017: 8

Hammering the Eagles over would be a wise move after the announcement of the NFL’s schedule projection. According to Warren Sharpe, of Sharp Football Analysis, the Eagles will have the third easiest schedule based on opponents winning %.

While the Washington Commanders currently hold the title of easiest schedule in the NFL, according to Sharp’s report, the “10 NFL teams that actually had the easiest 2021 schedules, only 3 went under their projected win total”.

So what does this all mean for the Eagles? As the draft draws closer and the Eagles improve the team with their large amount of roster flexibility, the franchise is expected to be fighting for a postseason berth once again.

With games against the NFC North, AFC South and a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is in transition, the Eagles have a golden opportunity to see just how much growth Head Coach Nick Sirianni, and QB Jalen Hurts have made after their first full offseason together.

Hammer the over on the Eagles people!
