OTA’s are in the books for the Eagles and the NFL officially announced its preseason schedule on Thursday. It won’t be long until the clashing of pads fills the air once more, but what will the Summer look like for the Eagles?

There have been some changes made to the offseason schedule. The team was supposed to hold a mandatory minicamp in the heart of June, but this has been abandoned and the Eagles will not return before Training Camp officially begins on July 27th. Their first public practice will be held at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, August 8th, at 7PM EST. A second practice will be made available to the public two weeks later on August 22nd at the same time, also hosted at the Linc.

The team did also announce that fans can purchase a $25 VIP ticket that entitles the buyer to an on-field experience at camp. The proceeds of these tickets to the Eagles Autism Foundation.

As for the preseason schedule, we now know the times and dates of when fans can finally see the Philadelphia Eagles under the guidance of Nick Sirianni for the first time. With only three preseason games per team, a young Eagles roster will need to make the most of each opportunity.

The schedule is as follows:

Week one Thursday, August 12

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia, 7:30

Thursday, August 19

New England at Philadelphia, 7:30

Friday, August 27

Philadelphia at New York Jets, 7:30

The Eagles will still close out their preseason slate with a clash against the New York Jets and will face familiar preseason foes in the way of the Steelers and Patriots. It will be intriguing to see who really stands out this Summer, especially with so many large roles up for grabs. There’s a lot of time between now and preseason but without a mandatory minicamp, it’s crucial that every player bursts out of the gate into the NovaCare Complex when the training camp doors open.
