SB LV: Chris Godwin Opens Up On What He Learned During PSU Tenure

Penn State alumnus Chris Godwin is looking to play a crucial role in the Super Bowl on Sunday. When looking back, he credits his former college coach for his success.

Tampa Bay: As we know it takes hard work and the right situation to get to play in one of the biggest games for any football player– the Super Bowl.

This week in Tampa Bay, we would hear from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers & Kansas City Chiefs during media week as they each prepare for Super Bowl LV. Some of the players would open up about some of the things that they would learn from their college coaches or something that someone told them as they made their journey to get to the big game.

Former Nittany Lion

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin would talk about what he would learn from Penn State Head Coach James Franklin:

Goldwin was at Penn State from 2014-2016 & would win the Big Ten Championship. In his final college game, he also scored two touchdowns in the 2017 Rose Bowl against USC.

During the 2020 season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Godwin would play in 12 games with 65 catches for 840 yards and 7 touchdowns. So far in the playoffs, Godwin has 14 catches for 223 yards & Touchdown.

Super Bowl LV will feature a first for the NFL as the host city team is actually playing as the home team. Tampa Bay will host Kansans City in Sunday at 6:30 PM on CBS. Make sure to keep an eye on Chris Godwin in the big game.
