The Eagles have released their status report ahead of this weekend’s game against Baltimore. If the odds weren’t already stacked against them, they are now.

Most notably, the team will be without franchise RT Lane Johnson, and RG Matt Pryor. The Eagles offensive line was already banged up beyond beleif, with backups manning 3/5 spots. That now expands to 4 with the absence of Johnson.

Rookie Jack Driscoll will step in at RT, while Jamon Brown will make his Eagles debut in place of the injured Matt Pryor, who was already backing up Brandon Brooks.

Elsewhere, Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson are both absent. The silver-lining here is that Travis Fulgham’s status will go uncontested. The dark cloud is that Alshon was purposefully not placed on IR because the team thought he’d be ready within six weeks. He isn’t. The team lost Noah Togiai, Casey Toohill, arguably Rasul Douglas/Sidney Jones because of this.

On the CB note, Avonte Maddox will be sidelined meaning that we once again see Jalen Mills at CB2.

Will Parks is set to make his Eagles debut however, which at least brings some sense of optimism to a defense that has really struggled against TE’s this season and now faces Mark Andrews. The Philly native is a versatile DB who can play significant snaps in the box and take the load off of an ailing LB group.

The Eagles offense truly is running on fumes at the minute as it prepares to face a defense that sacked Joe Burrow 7 times last week. Not ideal.
