How will Eagles negate the loss of injured Safety Will Parks?

As if the Eagles needed to add another body to the growing list of injuries, veteran Safety Will Parks will be out for multiple weeks with a lower-body setback. Parks injured his hamstring and could be out 4-6 weeks. This could be a big blow for a secondary that’s been revamped over the offseason.

While the Eagles will be missing a big piece this opens up a huge opportunity for the younger guys to step up like K’Von Wallace. The next set of moves could open a guaranteed roster spot for Grayland Arnold or even Elijah Riley.

Doug Pederson recently preached that the team needs to start trusting in their young guys and this may be another moment of trust for the Eagles brass. While Jalen Mills may be getting most of the snaps at Safety, Wallace may end up sneaking his way into the starting lineup.

The Eagles invested a 4th round pick in the former Clemson product. A pick that was declared a steal in the draft by PFF. Wallace hasn’t had much of a learning curve and veteran players have praised the rookie’s leadership among the group. While the Eagles will miss Parks’ presence, but they can’t deny that they have plenty of players that could fill in the void going forward.
