We’re officially four days away from the NFL draft and tension is building up. There are rumors floating everywhere but until we get there, let’s focus on the task at hand. We’ve covered the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 drafts. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of these times I had to skip 2014 but never fear, I’m back, and I’m here.

2015 was a weird offseason for all Eagles fans. Chip Kelly went on a rampage and trade LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso, Nick Foles for Sam Bradford, and Brandon Boykin to the Steelers. A scarring offseason that led to the drafting of Nelson Agholor and Jordan Hicks.

This piece will be different because of the up and down moments of both players. The Eagles had great moments with both players but just as many down moments as well.

Jordan Hicks came out strong which led to a lot of optimism for the Eagles but Agholor struggled to get his hands on the ball, literally. Hicks was a playmaker at first but injuries wouldn’t allow him to fully flourish in Philly.

As for Nelson Agholor, he finally showed up in 2017 where he had 62 receptions, 768 receiving yards, and 8 touchdowns. Agholor looked like the playmaker that we’ve been waiting for out of the slot but his one year alone wasn’t enough to help him become a consistent contributor for the offense.

Right now, neither player is with the team anymore but they’re minimal impact was enough to help them stand out in a class where no player from that group is currently with the Eagles.
