Per Adrian Wojnarowski, Philadelphia 76ers’ All-Star point guard Ben Simmons will miss an unknown amount of time with a back injury.

Simmons played well at the All-Star game, flashing his skill set among the best of the best. In the first practice following the game, Ben aggravated his lower back while going up for a rebound. This caused him to miss the first game after the break, as well as caused an early exit in Saturday’s loss to Milwaukee.

According to Woj, Simmons’ timetable could be determined as early as tomorrow. However, his injury will be more than day-to-day, and he is still undergoing rehab.

With 25 games left in the season, Philly will miss Ben drastically. On the season, the big man is averaging 16.4 points per game, while adding on eight of each assists and rebounds. He may not shoot from deep, but his ability to get his way in the paint leads the Sixers in most games and is irreplaceable. Expect Raul Neto and newly-acquired Alec Burks to do most of the ball-handling while Simmons is sidelined. Youngster Shake Milton will likely see an increase in minutes as well.

The short-handed Sixers take on the Atlanta Hawks tonight at 7 PM.
