Neumann-Goretti wins tight battle against Archbishop Ryan

Philadelphia: During the Catholic League season, the end goal is to make the final four at the Palestra, but the search for a champion would decrease one more on Wednesday night as Neumann-Goretti took on Archbishop Ryan.

Archbishop Ryan came out swining for the fences in the first quarter to show Neumann-Goretti that they will not be an easy night. Goretti would have to make serious changes fast as Ryan lead 16-14 at end of 1st quarter. 

Neumann-Goretti would wake up and make some much needed adjustments to take a second quarter lead, with their opponents making some costly errors.

During the second half, Archbishop Ryan went on a run and made this ballgame very interesting as they cut the Goretti lead down to 5. Goretti would end the third quarter with buzzer beater for a 41-34 lead.

Going into the 4th quarter, Archbishop Ryan tried to show that they had fight in them but Neumann-Goretti would make comeback hopes extremely difficult.

Neumann-Gorettl takes down Archbishop Ryan 51-41 to move to the Championship game against Roman Catholic on Monday Night at 8:30 PM at the Palestra.

This will mark the second time this season that Neumann-Gorettli will be playing Roman Catholic, Goretti took down Roman in a Double OT win back on January 17.

Monday Night will mark the first time since 2016 that Neumann-Goretti takes on Roman Catholic for the title.
