Only the top 4 teams make the Ivy League Tournament & we had a big game on Friday night as the Penn Quakers took on the Brown Bears from the Palestra on the campus of University of Penn. Both teams came into the game at 4-2 in the Ivy League standings.

Notes:

Penn has won the last 5 games in the series against Brown, including a sweep of both games during the 2018-19 season.

Recap

In the first Half, Penn started to take over, amassing a 12-6 lead with 13:06 left.

Jordan Dingle had it going from 3pt range.

Penn would take a 35-29 lead into halftime.

Early in the second half, Brown cut into the Penn lead and also retook it at 40-38, before going on a 12-0 run which opened the game up 52-39 with 12:40 left. You can say the turing point was Penn getting fouled from 3pt range on two separate times and only making 1 of 3. The Quakers went on a 9-minute drought without scoring a FG until AJ Brodeur ended it.  The Quakers would do their best but the Bears had every answer. Brown came to Philly and took a bite out of the Quakers 73-61 & this loss will hurt for Penn as regarding the standings.

What is next:
Penn will attempt to get back to their winning ways as they battle Yale on February 15 at the Palestra.

Final Numbers:
AJ Brodeur lead the Quakers with 19 points & Brandon Anderson dropped 31 for Brown
