Instant analysis: Flyers recall Andy Andreoff and send down Mikhail Vorobyev

After playing only one game with the Flyers after his call-up, Mikhail Vorobyev has been loaned back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in place of Andy Andreoff, who receives a call-up.

Vorobyev saw just 7:34 of Ice time in his lone game with the Flyers and his play reflected that. He wasn’t great, but he definitely wasn’t bad. He usually sees around 9 minutes of ice time so the drop here may be worth noting.

In five games prior to being loaned to the Phantoms to begin with, Mikhail Vorobyev tallied a point. His first and only point this season came against the Las Vegas Golden Knights when Ivan Provorov scored in the second period to put the Philadelphia Flyers up, 3-0.

Vorobyev was given a shot to improve but was unable to really do so outstandingly, opening the door for Andreoff, who has 7 points in 10 games for the Phantoms. This was good enough to earn him a shot with the Flyers.

We’ll see how long this move lasts. Maybe there’s another on the horizon or maybe, just maybe, Andreoff can create enough of a buzz to warrant the Flyers keeping him around.
