Caleb Dorsey is a 6-7, 200 lbs, 2020 small forward who plays for Hill high school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Dorsey, along with Kyle McCloskey and 2019 commits Seth Lundy and Patrick Kelly gives Penn State good depth at the small forward position. He gives Penn State an explosive scorer who is aggressive to the basket and dangerous in transition. He is an underrated ball-handler with a deadly long-range shot. I talked with him about his commitment to the Nittany Lions and his upcoming senior season at Hill high school for Philly Sports Network.

LJ: When did you know Penn State was it for you?

Caleb: I knew Penn State was it for me as soon as I left campus after my official visit. I just had to visit the other schools in my top 4 before I made a decision

LJ: How long had they been pursuing you? What coach from Penn State was recruiting you?

Caleb: I do not know when Penn State started watching me play; I just know they offered the day before peach jam began.

LJ: What teams were recruiting you the hardest before you committed?

Caleb: My top 4 was Penn State, Yale, Bucknell, and Georgetown so I would say they recruited the hardest.

LJ: Have you had a chance to talk to fellow commit Dallion Johnson?

Caleb: I have talked to Dallion a little bit.

LJ: What does Penn State love about your talent? What is the plan they have for you and your future with the Nittany Lions?

Caleb: I would say Penn State loves my size and versatility. Also the fact that I can stretch the floor with my shooting ability. I can defend multiple positions as well.

LJ: What about this coaching staff and the playing style fits you?

Caleb: The staff is very invested in player development as well as mental health and positive attitude/ body language, so those things appealed to me most besides how personable they were. I like to get up and down the floor and I think I’ll be able to do that at Penn State.

LJ: What type of impact can you make on the court at the college level?

Caleb:  I think as I get even stronger and keep developing I should be able to help Penn State win games and compete for titles.

LJ: What are you looking to show this season for Hill high school?

Caleb: I will continue to show my versatility at The Hill School this season as well as show improvement with my verticality. I just want to win, whether that be league or another state championship.
