The most fun-loving Phillie outside of the Philly Phanatic has been on the mend since tearing his ACL against the Padres. Andrew McCutchen has been sharing every step of his recovery with his fans on social media.

The opening day Phillies center-fielder not only provided a solid presence at the top of the lineup, but also amazing entertainment value. Who else would play rock-paper-scissors with 3rd base coach Dusty Wathan every time he homered? Only McCutchen.

The Phillies even released a compilation video of all the rock-paper-scissors contests.

All we can say is Dusty needs to up his game when McCutchen returns.

Since the season-ending injury, McCutchen hasn’t changed.

He provides game commentary for those on Twitter. During the All-Star break, McCutchen blessed us with what his wife Maria did for him as her personal All-Star.

On Friday, McCutchen even hooked up the Philly Phanatic with a fresh pair of kicks.

McCutchen is 100% a pureblood Philadelphia Phillie. Even on the injured list, he lives and dies with this team like each of us do. In the last game before the All-Star break against the Mets the Phillies won 8-3. Rhys Hoskins was hit by a pitch from Mets Wilmer Font in the 7th inning of that game. In the 9th inning Hoskins homered off of Font for some sweet revenge.

This was McCutchen’s reaction.

The day before, McCutchen acted like each and every one of us do when the Phillies blow a lead.

Even though he’s injured, he hasn’t lost a single ounce of his energy.

Speaking of the injury, McCutchen keeps his fans regularly updated on his condition. He tweeted this video compilation of his recovery process.

Despite tearing his ACL in early June, he’s already moving around and doing exercise. Don’t be surprised if McCutchen’s pure will and spirit push him to be even better than before the injury.

Until McCutchen returns Scott Kingery is looking comfortable in the leadoff spot for the Phillies. Kingery is currently batting .357 as the first batter of the game.

Get well soon McCutchen. Well all miss you.
