According to Shams Charania, the Sixers are bringing James Ennis back to the City of Brotherly Love next season.

The latest in a string of depth-building moves in free agency, retaining Ennis could pay huge dividends.

After joining the Sixers at the tail end of last season, the 6’7 combo forward appeared in 11 playoff games, tallying 7.5 points per game along with 3.8 boards. Ennis was surprisingly solid in the playoffs when many of the team’s key contributors simply weren’t.

In 18 games for the Sixers, he averaged 5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds. Ennis recently spoke about wanting to return to the Sixers and it seems as though his wish has come true.
