Philly College Basketball Recap & Preview

Philadelphia: As 2018 will come to a close, early on in the college basketball season there has been some exciting games & upsets as its now gets ready to head to conference play, let’s take a look at what we have this week.

 

Temple: 
Fran Dunphy and the Temple Owls are flying high after they took down Drexel last week at the Palestra to get to 10-2 on the season.

The Owls will now head into American Athletic Conference play next week as they take on Central Florida on January 2.

 

Villanova:
Jay Wright & the Villanova Wildcats ended their 2 game losing streak as they took down Uconn last week at Madison Square Garden.

The Wildcats will now head into Big East Conference play on January 2 as they take on DePaul from Finneran Pavilion

 

Drexel:
Zach Spiker & the Drexel Dragons are looking to rebound from their loss to Temple Last Week at the Palestra.

Dragons will now head into Colonial Athletic Conference play on December 28 at Northeastern & then At Hofstra on December 30 before a home game vs Elon on January 3.

 

Penn:
Steve Donahue & the Penn Quakers are at a good point in their season after they took down New Mexico last week & now they will finish off non-conference play on December 29 at Toledo & then Monmouth on December 31 at the Palestra.

The Quakers will head into Ivy League Play on January 5 at Princeton.

 

Saint Joseph’s:
Phil Martelli & the Saint Joseph’s Hawks are feeling good after their win over Loyola Chicago last week at the Palestra lead by game-winner from Lamarr Kimble

The Hawks will finish off their Non-Conference schedule on December 29 vs Wagner. then they will head into Atlantic 10 Conference play vs George Mason on January 3.

 

LaSalle:
Ashley Howard & the LaSalle Explorers are feeling good as they got their first 2 wins on the season by winning the Boardwalk Battle at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City last week.

Now the Explorers will be heading into Atlantic 10 Conference Play on January 5 at UMass.
