It’s about darn time good old pond hockey was fun again on Broad Street. Yes, the Flyers have made many changes in the past month or so to include a new General Manager Chuck Fletcher, a new assistant coach in Rick Wilson, a new Interim Head Coach Scott Gordon, and lastly Fletcher called up the one, the only Carter Hart.

Flyers fans needed something to cheer about. They needed to feel happy, and proud to be an orange clad fan again. That seemed to be lost through the first 30 games of the season. However, since Carter Hart’s arrival on December 17, 2018. He has given Flyers fans hope to salvage what appeared to be a lost season. Hart received a thunderous ovation when he was announced to the Philly crowd while making his NHL Debut for the orange and black against the Detroit Red Wings on December 18, 2018.

The proud orange clad fans have cheered, and they have been loud and boisterous again. It’s a fun-filled atmosphere once again at the Wells Fargo Center, and there’s no doubt home ice advantage is back on Broad Street. Thanks to the one, the only Carter Hart. Hart has given Flyers fans hope, and confidence. This young man in Hart is feeding off the crowd, and boy have they shown up here to cheer.

Your best Penalty Killer has to be your Goaltender, and Hart has been just that. Hart has made some tremendous saves on 5-on-3’s, and 2-on-1’s, while the Flyers are shorthanded. Since his call-up he has a 2-1 record, 2.36 GAA, and a .904 Save Percentage. Say no more Flyers fans Hart is here.

“I was trying not to think about it too much before the game and just prepare like any other game. Now it’s starting to sink in a little bit when I saw my mom on TV there and my billet, Parker, and my dad, who all made the trip. I’m just lucky to get to share this experience with people who have supported me my whole life, and have sacrificed a lot for me,” Hart said following his NHL Debut.

Well, Carter the proud Philly fans have your back. The good old Flyers fans love ya, and will support you through thick and thin. Flyers hockey is alive and well again on Broad Street. Thanks Carter for instilling hope once again. One thing is certain Flyers fans, the future is bright in Flyer land.
