As if excitement levels weren’t already soaring through the roof ahead of this evening’s practice at Lincoln Financial Field, the Philadelphia Eagles have announced two very important contract extensions.

A Super Bowl winning Head Coach and the one of the league’s hottest GM commodities, need we say more?

“We are thrilled to solidify continuity in our organization’s leadership with the extensions of Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman, whose collaborative partnership helped deliver our city its first Super Bowl championship,” said Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie. “Doug and Howie are committed to the success of our franchise by ensuring that we remain competitive, both in the short and long term. That unified vision for the future of our team is what gives us the best chance to win moving forward.”

Doug Pederson joined the Eagles in 2016, signing a five-year deal. After winning Super Bowl 52 in just his second year, Pederson’s contract has been extended, giving him another five-year championship window to work with.

As for Roseman, he needs little introduction. Having reshaped the Eagles roster and given it a complete makeover following the Chip Kelly disaster, his hard work has been rewarded with an extension too. Roseman has rapidly come one of the most sought after general managers in football, with many team’s looking at his tenacious negotiation mindset and the way he is able to extract the very best from each piece of business.

The future is incredibly bright for the defending champions.
