Inactive report: Eagles run defense receives a big boost in Super Bowl 52

The Eagles have officially announced their inactives for Super Bowl 52. Adam Schefter revealed the list just moments ago on Twitter.

There’s nothing out of the ordinary here, with the apparent ‘flu’ symptoms keeping none of the Eagles down. Sidney Jones is predictably inactive with his lone action this season coming in week 17. It wouldn’t make sense for the Birds to activate a rookie cornerback with such minimal experience in a game of this magnitude.

Instead, Dannell Ellerbe makes his return to the Eagles roster after suffering a hamstring injury that has caused him to miss both playoff games so far. The Eagles run defense will no-doubt see a significant upgrade.

Elsewhere, former Giants OL Will Beatty, DE Steven Means and DT’s Destiny Vaeao and Elijah Qualls join Wendell Smallwood.

The Eagles are healthy and ready to go for Super Bowl LII, with the game beginning in less than two hours!
